Eighteenth Battalion Memorial Rifle Club is a Game
Council NSW Approved Hunting Organisation

About Us

18th Battalion prides in being a welcoming club for everyone to come and try this most challenging and rewarding sport in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.

If you are just starting out, or an experienced shooter we have something to offer for you.

18th Battalion offers accredited Firearms Safety and Awareness training for those wishing to obtain a NSW firearms license in Category A / B.

Coaching for those "joining the ranks" is also available, with the club holding dedicated practice days. For the hunter a number of Hunt Club shoots are also scheduled, check the program.

We can also complete your firearms transfers.

As the name suggests, this is a strong service rifle shooting club but we also shoot field centrefire and rimfire rifle matches.

In addition to target shooting we are a registered hunting and collecting club. The club is also a NSW Game Council Approved Hunting Organisation able to offer hunter education and R Licence testing (pending changes recently announced by the NSW Government).

We shoot at Hornsby Rifle range many Sundays of the year - plenty of opportunity to come and meet us. Download a Range Program and Match Details to see what suits you.

We also shoot one Saturday per year at Kariong Range Gosford, an annual .303 Memorial Match which is a lot of fun and is a challenge.

Our matches are run in accordance with the Standard Shooting Rules

Military - refer chapter 16

Field & Service - refer chapter 17

Field & Rimfire - refer chapter 17

To find out more please feel free to contact the club via the Contact Us link above left or attend on range days - see our 18Bn Range Program.
